I really like E5 because of all the bears and metal. I like building ships, so all the resources handy is awesome. What are some other good ones you like? | Whipe on the 20th of March is you want to save the game Posted: 11 Mar 2019 12:15 AM PDT Like you should have already realized, you announced the wipe way to early. The extreme decrease of the players is alarming and every day/week the wipe is done later, huge amounts of players will get hooked to other games and won't return. Do the wipe on the 20th, release the PTR the same day and test first feedback there. A PTR is a great idea for the testing of future updates, but in this case, prior wipe, it is just not what the players want. You mentioned that the update will hit PTR on the 20th of march. That means you should have a playable version ready by then. I strongly suggest you to release it on the official servers that day. The feedback for the update and your possibility to improve the changes will be even bigger, since much much more people will play the update on offical then PTR, so hot fixes of the essential stuff can be done quickly. Announcing a wipe a month in advance is a huge motivation killer and your now bored playerbase will just run away to other games. I love Atlas and i want it to succeed as much as you do, so please devs take my advice DO NOT PUSH THE UPDATE BACK. Give us the version you have by 20th of march on official and fix the rest of the issues while it is live. | PVE hardcore/longterm breeders/builders aren't returning thanks to future Wipe possibilities Posted: 10 Mar 2019 10:34 PM PDT I've stressed this several times but I doubt anyone that could do anything has read it or really cares.. The hardcore players I knew are ALL gone, ALL are sinking their time into other survival games and when asking if they're starting up with Atlas, I received a 100% no. #1 reason was the same as it was before, they don't want to invest a lot of time into breeding/building if in a few months its going to be wiped. Players will ALWAYS want wipes, even if it's just because they're nasty people. There will ALWAYS be bugs / exploits with a game like Atlas. PVE and PVP have very different needs which you clearly have seen in many aspects, this being one of them. You will satisfy those that're short term, but many that are long term players that play for years on end - those companies will be few and far between. You need those people to exist, don't forget that. And it's 100% possible to build a game where you don't have to wipe it every "mega" update. And yep, it's absolutely early release so if you want that to be the excuse for constant wipes at farming rates we get - go for it, whatever excuses you want but expect consequences.
