NO devs, that DID NOT fix the stone nerf

    Posted: 26 Jan 2019 12:26 AM PST

Somehow they want to slide this lunatic change into acceptance by 'nerfing the nerf'.

They upped the costs for stone big, and now 'discounted' that increase by a tiny bit so they could appease the community and slide this change under the radar

So from 30 metal & 20 sap, we're down to 15 metal and 15 sap? Are we a joke to you, is this vile, or stupid?

Why can companies change names AND COPY AND IMPERSONATE YOURS?

    Posted: 26 Jan 2019 09:57 AM PST

Not going to drop names, but we had a rival company change their name to match our company name 100%. The only way to differentiate them was to look at their Company ID number. While they were operating under our name, they went on to attack one of the biggest companies in the game in an attempt to incite a proxy war.

Two questions for the devs and the community:

    1) Why are companies allowed to change their name freely to begin with, and is this a good idea?

    2) Why are you able to copy another companies name verbatim and impersonate them freely, and is this intended or a good idea?

Allow players to upload/store their ships and items at Freeports/safe areas like in every other MMO.

    Posted: 26 Jan 2019 07:20 AM PST

For example EVE ONLINE has a system that allows players to store their ships and items so they can come back later and bring them out, which allows those not being in a mega company a chance to have a ship without the need to have land.

Ark has a similiar system but only 24 hrs to upload your stuff in the obelisk.

Add a system like this to allow players who can't get land to have a form of playing the game without claiming land. ( more than a 24 hour upload ) .

    MOD Idea: Dock Crane

    Posted: 26 Jan 2019 04:06 AM PST

I have an idea for a mod, but not the knowledge to make it, so maybe someone likes it too and has the ability to make it. lets explain:

im sure everyone of you has done this. you come home from harvesting, have a ship full of resources. now you and your mates run from the ship resource box to your base, carrying a bit of load and after 100 times running back and forth you finaly have all the stuff you need in your smithy.

the most anoying part of this is climbing the ladder on the ship. maybe you have build a nice pier to unload your cargo but its not ideal.

so my idea is, place a crane on the beach (has to be on foundation/ceiling). this crane can be connected to a ship nearby (like the pets can be send on a ship, just a litle more range) and then the inventory of the crane is connected to the ships resource box. so you can take (or place) anything which fits into the resouce box out of/into the crane and you dont need to climb on/off you ship a dozend times. just place your elephant next to the crane and start un/loading your stuff.

i dont know if this can be done at all, but it would make transporting large amounts of resources less of a pain.

    Thanks for your time

    The SNC

    Posted: 26 Jan 2019 06:29 AM PST

Or as I like to call them, The Great Holy Empire of the Rising Sun.

Anyway, they're an amazing group to play with, I belong to a small Corp of about 40 or so people. A handful active at any given time.

My first experience with the SNC went about as one might expect. The Ally call of "Box names in Ocean Grid" went out and riled up the server block. So of course we go down to our port area and prepare to defend, the "Chinese" are expected to Zerg our server into the ground. Then the unexpected begins to happen.

Lo-and-behold 3 kitted our SNC:[][][][] players land a dingy on our island, only one speaks solid English as they crouch walk towards us. We obviously didn't open fire right away, I mean if we could avoid the Chinese Zerg as long as possible then that's 100% by me.

    Anyway,

They come up, and in this mish mash of broken and solid English start with formalities, and friendships etc. Turns out they're not Chinese, but Japanese. They would like 1 land claim, and not a thing more, and would gladly pay tax. After a few hours of thinking it over, we allow it and they claim up.

Fast forward a few days later and I'm moving around the island doing cthulu knows what and I run into our new allies. Suddenly being surrounded by a bunch of naked folks with rifles I'm expecting the treaty to be broken...luckily...that doesn't happen. In fact, the opposite happens. Suddenly a bunch of Japanese accented "Thankyou's" and bowing goes down all around me. I'm stunned and all I can get out is "No problem guys, welcome again".

That was a long while ago at this point, and honestly the SNC have held up their end, they trade with us, help us out from time to time. Constantly bowing lol and overall it's been a blast having them on our island.

The SNC appear to be the opposite of the Chinese [][][] players, they're respectful, honorable, and willing to work with their Western counter-parts.

Honestly, I'm happy to have the Japanese on our island, oh and they ain't bad shots with a rifle neither.

Maybe remove the Dragon from the game?

    Posted: 26 Jan 2019 08:24 AM PST

Its a pirate game, why have stupid op dragons?

It makes ships obsolete, just tame a few dragons and sink everything your opponent has.

The final days of 055-A AKA When Chinese park their Galleon in our area

    Posted: 26 Jan 2019 07:19 AM PST

    VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNufxwvLA-A

We have been in i6 for a while already and been fighting chinese on and off. Last couple of days we managed to take most of the island, even after they hit us with 4 brigs and tens of tens of people. Bunched them off already for like couple of times - eventually they were just out of resources.

So they managed to kind of take some other companies claims on the island and put some beds down in quite clever places and they also thought that we are out of resources and probably either gave their allies a place to be...

Today they parked a Galleon to our coast, IN OUR AREA. They backed it off to a shipyard and...we dont know why.

We built stone pillars underwater in front of it, they did not suspect anything. It was quite hilarious when this thing wanted to leave the shipyard with full sails and just...was stuck.

    And then came the mortar...

    Enjoy.

"Stone Structures crafting costs have decreased by reducing the metal cost by 55% and reducing the organic paste requirement by 25%" still BAD.

    Posted: 25 Jan 2019 01:16 PM PST

BAD. Leave it at it was at the begining of the game.

Stone walls SHOULDNT cost metal at all.

I made uniforms for my boyfriend's npc crew

    Posted: 26 Jan 2019 04:58 AM PST

Hi! Gabbo Traphouse here from K12 PVE. Today I'm here to show off the surprise I made for my boyfriend and he's gonna heckin love it. I don't own boats, use boats or sail boats, but he likes to so I made this for him.

I took a mix of cloth, hide and fur armor and covered them in dyes to make something that looks really cool on his crew when he goes out to sea. I did not do anything special or difficult to do here, but I'm guessing this is something nobody ever really thinks of in this game because I've never seen anyone do this. Here are pics, have a nice day

    Olive oil??

    Posted: 26 Jan 2019 11:26 AM PST

Hey guys, according to wiki olive oil is a thing in Atlas? I have 300 hours in and i did not find any olives in any biomes whatsoever.

There is also this guy who told me that you can get olive seeds, plant olive bushes and harvest olive OIL, which is what i am after...

Does anyone know anything about this? Is this in the game or do the devs plan on making this possible?

Grapeshot, ships aren't being used in big fights in your ship game.

    Posted: 25 Jan 2019 07:04 PM PST

All the mega tribes are just spawning Drakes and using those to attack each other. Drakes need a direct counter or they can wipe entire fleets in minutes.

    Cannon grappling hook!

    Posted: 26 Jan 2019 11:02 AM PST

Something I would love to see is an ammo type for grapple hooks so people can grab ships and pull them close to board them. Also with that grape shots should slow down ships if you shoot it at the sails because it would add holes.

Post your best ship blueprints you’ve found and then post the price you’d sell it for!!

    Posted: 26 Jan 2019 10:55 AM PST

Title says it all, drop below the best blueprints for any part of a ship (cannons, swivels, sails, etc) and then list the price in gold you're willing to sell it for!

Because I and many others may be in the market to pay you for it 😉
