    PTR: Shipyard Griefing

    Posted: 06 Apr 2019 08:44 AM PDT

After purchasing an island and making a small base we parked our boat for the evening. In the morning someone had built a shipyard directly on top of my boat and when I logged in, it immediately sank. What is the proposed design to prevent people from insta destroying your boats if you can't prevent people from building on your island?

New walls x cannons x cannon timer

    Posted: 06 Apr 2019 03:12 AM PDT

I tried in PTR a common cannon with normal cannonball gave 585 dmg to a 10k stone wall and 585dmg to a Large Stone Wall, this new stone wall has 24k life so u need 42 cannon balls to destroy it, the price of it is +- the price of 32-35 stone walls and the size of something like 42 walls of area (X2) so about 42+42 walls and 6-7 floors on top. It has a nice support in top for cannons and stuff. I think is a nice add to the game and balanced. What u guys think? maybe more expensive cannonballs? and now the timer to shoot new posioned cannons are 10 mins for new swivel cannons, 20 mins for medium and large cannons and 30 mins for mortairs, so its nice that both attack team can study the area and make a strategy to attack the island and the defend team dont need to be afraid of attackers that just put a foundation a mortair and attack non stop from nowhere. (sorry for my english, not my native language.)

There are more details in the log. But they said they're subject to change depending on players feedback during the PTR:

    Questions From A Console Player

    Posted: 05 Apr 2019 03:42 PM PDT

Evening guys. Just a few quick questions if I may. When Atlas was announced, console was stated "Early 2019" and 4 months in, not a single whisper since. So, my questions are:

Is Atlas a dead/dying game? Have developers improved on hitting ETAs with patches/updates etc?

And finally, is this game ever worth being remotely excited for? I have 3000 hours in Ark but if it's going to be the same s***show as Ark, is it even worth the wait?

    Cheer guys!

    Idea for smaller companies

    Posted: 05 Apr 2019 01:19 PM PDT

Close to before the release of the wipe, we saw a lot of companies docking ships over night at freeports. If they could possibly find a cap for anchored ships, being able to live out of a ship 100% and just spend our days exploring then safely anchoring for the night, this would give players another way to play besides having to defend land.

Of course this play style isn't 100% safe as being sunk would literally cost you everything you own. Even still, it could add to excitement and make your ship that much more.

With the ship decay they have currently it wouldn't be too hard for small tribe of 10ish to keep the boat repaired overtime.

    Any thoughts?
