Question about Vulnerability timer Posted: 20 Apr 2019 11:49 AM PDT Is there a window of opportunity you have to set the timer? We were able to set the timer as of this morning but we didnt have anyone on at the moment, once I was able to get on it said the timer was able to be set in 6 days 22 hours, but the hours of the timer have not been changed. Animal spawn rates really low after Easter patch? Posted: 20 Apr 2019 11:14 AM PDT Has anyone noticed abysmal spawn rates for roaming animals on your islands? The lawless island we usually go to has bears and giraffes like crazy and from about 11AM EST to 2PM EST we've had a total of two bears spawn and zero giraffes. Posted: 19 Apr 2019 06:57 PM PDT @Jat This has been mentioned before & got a lot of support. Please allow us to upkeep npcs with gold through the flag or some other global-island item. Keeping npc maintenance on defensive structures cuts into people's time they have to enjoy the game. The goal should be to maximize fun/reduce unfun activities. So less maintenance = more time to do other activities = more potential for fun = players continuing to log in. Thank you. Next thing I have is the "Plunder" skill in Piracy tree. I used to think it dug up extra treasure from maps but come to find out it's only useful for digging potatoes. LUL. Can we make it so the "Plunder" skill allows us to also dig more treasure from maps? One more thing: Please go back to old taxation system with max cap at 30%. I cant tell you how disheartening it is to sail across the map and lose out on 50% of the gold I came for.. People will say that it equals out when treasure hunters come digging at your island but honestly how often does that even happen? The probability of one's own self farming treasure maps is > someone else farming on my island. [link] [comments] | ||
The Speed Buff stat on armor still doesn't work Posted: 19 Apr 2019 09:30 PM PDT I have tested this out once again 2 months after my last post about this issue and I was happy to see this patch note ages ago. - Fixed a bug where items would falsely state that they were providing a speed benefit (did not do anything). They should not generate anymore going forward However I just made a speed set that gives "SpeedMultiplier: x18.0%" Now I thought this would be +18% speed added on but testing against someone in same armor but basic version with almost no weight and both with equilibrium + max armor articulation he managed to be faster than me. Now this makes no sense and the only thing I can think of that would cause this is that it is x18% of whatever you have levelled into the stat. Now as you cant level speed this makes this stat completely useless. I propose you just remove this stat and convert it into the +SpeedMultiplier stat as that will just add it on as a percentage and make it work or just remove it altogether as it is very misleading. That is a direct quote from https://www.playatlas.com/index.php?/atlas-news/records/captains-log-22-march-milestone-official-server-wipe-r87/ The fact that they could not be bothered to stick to their word once again and make it cost just gold is rather annoying. I don't know why they didn't just use the same or almost the same system as rust. So now because it cost just gold you are more or less made to spend most of your time mapping or killing whales instead of relying on your island taxes and the people living on your island to help you pay the upkeep. Suggestion: New sunken ship changes Posted: 20 Apr 2019 01:47 AM PDT After looting these things for a few hours I've noticed they are basically the exact same as flotsam.. just a tiny bit more gold (which sounds good.. but you have to dive to the bottom of the ocean for it and find out which fucking maze door its in) So here is a proposed change: Get rid of the random food and music sheet, nobody wants music sheets and 2 berries is not loot.. its annoying. Replace the building bp with a built weapon of rarity around the lvl of sunken treasure. For example, you dive down to a ramshackle sunken, you will probably find a ramshackle flintlock or something. Get rid of the gold entirely, replace it with ship parts like planks, cannons, cannonballs ect. Stuff people can actually benefit from finding mid voyage, and for the love of god let us salvage the thing, doesn't need to give full mats as a scooner or something but some mats would be nice for the trouble.
