    Atlas Quality of Life Tips

    Posted: 15 Apr 2019 10:04 AM PDT

Here are some tricks i learned along the way. Everyone is free to to add some !

    • Tame by sitting on a Bear ( no need to spam those tamingpins )
    • Always have half the amount of blanks the ships needs to build as backup along with hammers and buckets ready for panicmode !
    • Use a grabelinghook to get flotsam
    • Cooked food heals and some give buffs.
    • Use a Npc on a swivelgun with , target all setting to fish

Giraffes do not seem to be gathering at 6 times the rate for thatch

    Posted: 14 Apr 2019 09:06 PM PDT

As stated in the title, The wiki is saying that they will mine at a 6x rate for thatch, i am seeing just a 1x, and with that in mind it is faster to use a pick anyways. Also, since we are on the topic. When trying to ride a rhino just after leveling, which caused it to lay down, you are teleported about 50 units away. I don't know what happened, but the game seems to be in a far worse state than what i previously thought. Will continue to post bugs i find. Speaking of bugs, When using the snap building function, sadly there is no way to turn it off. But while using it, i seemed to find a bug that causes me to crash with large structures snapping to certain points in my build. Will try to record at a future point.

New to PVP, how does Tax work?

    Posted: 15 Apr 2019 11:03 AM PDT

    Hey guys,

I normally play PVE, but decided to try Colonies and everything is already taken over. I found an island with 20%, but I am not sure how that works or how I pay it.

Do i need to give these guys gold everyday? or does it auto take from my inventory / resources? Any help would be appreciated!

    Thank you

How to increase settler on a island

    Posted: 15 Apr 2019 10:06 AM PDT

    Devs,

we (9 of us) have a medium sized island and had some cool settlers (three separate companies). everything was going good until we noticed that the "no build" zone around their structures was crazy, like 15-20 tiles away crazy. we had to evict them because we had more of our friends joining.

So if you want more interaction with settlers and island owners, the no build area around settlers has to be shrunk down to make this idea feasible.

Also, we really need a way to find all these sneaky structures griefers are putting down to block our island. Maybe special goggles that make them glow green or an option to show all settler structures.

other than that, we are liking what we see. our grid is pretty happy.

    Webhooks.

    Posted: 15 Apr 2019 09:15 AM PDT

Complete noob when it comes to setting up anything on discord outside of permissions.

I already created a text channel and found where to put the webhook but I am lost from this point on and no clue where to look for the URL its asking for. Also is it even worth it does it show when people log on and off and does it capture events such as boats being sunk and so forth?

Remove the limits on breeding temperatures and growing crops

    Posted: 14 Apr 2019 04:46 PM PDT

Simple as that, casuals and solo players or any group should not be punish for not having the right temperature conditions to raise animals as well as crops, the only ones that can afford such thing are mega companies ( i am in a mega company ) since we share tiles which are focused for raising animals on the right conditions.

What's the best way to put weapons on a solo or small group Sloop so that ships of the damned aren't something unfightable(tm)

    Posted: 14 Apr 2019 11:32 PM PDT

I know i know, the more people the merrier, but just assume i have limited time and/or enjoy pain.

What's the best option early(earlier) on for putting weapons on a ship so you can at least fight back against the ships of the damned? Right now i feel like a sitting duck in the sloop and can only outrun them. Is there a lower level/smaller requirement cannon or similar which will help me?

    Tax Exempt Allies

    Posted: 14 Apr 2019 08:52 PM PDT

The title says it, Please make a way to make allies tax exempt or where we can say which ally is tax exempt. This would encourage you let allies be on your island, but deter those of whom are not allies. Also I still believe tax is not represented properly. Shows 20% tax on some islands but it is seeming as if it is still buggy and i am being taxed at 30%-50%. anyways just an idea.

Please give the Option to allow allies more rights

    Posted: 15 Apr 2019 03:13 AM PDT

Please give us some options to allow our allies to use for example our canons. This should not be set by default but a possible option. This would allow to defend more effektive together or maybe even crew a ship with people of the same alliance

    Posted: 15 Apr 2019 02:42 AM PDT

We live in K15 i think. Is the whale random? Can you give some good tips on avoiding it or such? :) We took the Island yesterday and have not seen it yet. But i am afraid. It will murder our ship :/

What is the actual difference between Empires claiming and colonies claiming?

    Posted: 14 Apr 2019 07:37 PM PDT

I've looked around and read the patch notes but i can't find the exact differences in the new claim system. I read that there is a pvp time when pvp is on, and if im understanding right you claim whole islands with one flag now instead of an area. can someone help me out and explain how the new system works and what the differences are between when the game launched and colonies?

    Treasure Map Difficulty

    Posted: 14 Apr 2019 03:35 PM PDT

    PvE Perspective:

So we just attempted a 20.4 journeyman map and lost a tame in the process with 4 of us. They spawned as level 85. The warriors laughed at us (all 6 of them) as they would burrow and regen health as our arrows would barely get them down 15% by the time they burrow. As I pull my flintlock out to headshot one, it does less than arrows (well I had strong arm 3 so I guess that's OK).

What is everyone else's thoughts? They should either de-buff AOTD or Re-buff Guns.

What makes a non company player a settler on your island?

    Posted: 14 Apr 2019 03:12 PM PDT

I'm a bit confused what constitutes someone as a settler on your island. Do they have to build a structure? Harvest resources? Or just be there long enough? Can anyone clearify?
