Running to freeports on PVP servers Posted: 21 May 2019 08:24 AM PDT Set a combat timer on ships that have been damaged. These cannot enter freeports or can still be damaged while the timer is ticking down. Carebear safe zones doesn't have a place in the world, that's what peace timers are for. [link] [comments]
Posted: 21 May 2019 07:29 AM PDT We will do kraken v1 again this saturday. We have done it last weekend and capped server population at 200. It was laggy as hell but most of us got the sub. Some of us will help with it even tho we got the sub already. We need more galleons for this fight i think. We have about 8 brigs or so confirmed. Some more info below Difficulty: Normal Date: Saturday, May 25 2019 Time: 9:00 PM EST / 6:00 PM PST / 2:00 AM GMT Meetup: G8 North East Island, Northern Shore Preparation: 1) Make sure to respec to have at least 200 health and 30 to 40 Fortitude to improve survival chances. 2) At least 2 handling sails are recommended, as wind is constantly changing during the fight. 3) Ballistas have been nerfed, Medium or Large cannons work perfectly fine for whole fight. 4) Recommended to have medkits pre-made to heal yourself during the fight. 5) If you die during the fight, you will not be able to respawn to continue. If you die, you're done for this fight. 6) Flintlocks are useful to kill the energy balls that seek out ships. You can single shot the energy balls. 7) Depending on how many ships show up, 300 to 800 cannon balls are recommended. 8) Some people recommend taking spare planks rather than repair materials, as they're lighter. This choice is on you tho. 9) We are all PIRATES! Everyone should be drinking ALE for this fight! Do it in true pirate style! (Ale also reduces damage you take, so will be very useful) - And pudding 10) Hide armor seems to be the current recommendation, it does not conduct electricity. Also, put hide armor on your crew to help their survivability. WARNING: If you end up in the water while too close to an active tentacle during the Kraken battle, you will most likely die. Grapeshot's weekly reminder that sotd spawns are still not good enough Posted: 21 May 2019 03:40 AM PDT Talking specifically about golden age grids. They should be the most dangerous to sail in but the reality is that everyone farms sotd in golden age's, resulting in empty grids 90% of the time. Sometimes you have empty golden age ruin grids for 2+ hours, you sail in and there are still no sotd... What are these spawnrates based on and why are they so bad? The spawnrate should be upped by at least 50%, probably more. It's gotten so bad that people actually wait for minor updates (so server restarts) before farming sotd, which results in 25+ people grids on golden age ruins, everyone fighting sotd and each other... After that you have hours of absolutely nothing (if you are lucky you find a few red schooners) Leveling ships is an immensely frustrating experience and i do not understand why [link] [comments]
Can we have this in the game already? Posted: 20 May 2019 06:42 PM PDT I can craft Arrows, Bows, Wood Structures and various other things in my inventory... Why can I not craft all this in a smithy. This is one thing that has bothered me since Ark. Everything I can craft in my inventory I should be able to craft in a smithy. Also for the love of god and all that is holy add something where if a Resource box is right next to a smithy you can just craft items from the smithy / Other Crafting stations without having to load it up with various materials. This would be a huge QOL improvement. Thanks. [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 May 2019 07:18 AM PDT I'm coming back to Atlas as a solo player. Are there any alliances that are willing to let me ally up in exchange for paying a tax? [link] [comments]
Solid single blocks to replace honeycomb Posted: 20 May 2019 06:05 PM PDT I think it would be an amazing addition to the game if GS added 1x1 boxes with the same health and mat cost of a 1x1 honeycomb build. I know my company would immidiatly replace the thousands of structures in our base and we might be able to get over 30 fps near it! I could be wrong but it apears to significantly affect game play to have so many structures rendered in and i would love to slim that down. [link] [comments]
Ai counting towards tame limit? Posted: 21 May 2019 12:05 AM PDT Did I miss read somewhere AI was going to not count towards tame limit if the AI was stationed? [link] [comments]
How are companies like NoNoNo allowed to exist?! Posted: 21 May 2019 08:05 AM PDT I got home late from work today and low and behold, NO NO NO was raiding my island. I spent all weekend farming a schooner with cannons and ballistas and now IT'S GONE. No NO NO came with over 120 people. I asked them why they were attacking us, but they kept ignoring me and just kept sickling the sails off of my boat. All of my tames were already dead before I even spawned in. I basically had to watch my boat sink because whenever I would get close I would get knocked out or killed. It's so stupid that they can do stuff like this, they even destroyed our mythical shipyard that we spent almost an ENTIRE WEEK grinding for. It's just dumb. I think the devs need to implement some type of voting system per grid. Where if there is an imbalance of players it will even it out so it's equal. It's so unfair that we were attacked like this unannounced and didn't have time to even prepare. The worst part was they had to resort to aimbotting. There was no way they could've hit me when I was on the ships steering wheel. You're not supposed to be able to get hit when it's in the mast. Maybe like a radar type system that tracks the movement of large companies? It could be a blimp or something. [link] [comments]
