    ATLAS Too Many Lawless Islands?

    Too Many Lawless Islands?

    Posted: 06 Jun 2019 11:16 AM PDT

Seems like the game has too many lawless islands these days (or, alternatively, too many freeports).

In season 1, lawless was very useful. Island ownership was out of control and poorly implemented so a lot of people had to live in lawless for lack of other options. Season 2, with better island ownership mechanics and this "settler" concept, lawless islands are much less useful than before.

I don't propose getting rid of them. Useful land that can't be claimed does still have some value. But we really don't need so much of it.

    I'd propose something like....

    • Only grids to the north and east of a freeport are lawless. Those west and south are normal....or...
    • Rather than lawless grids we have lawless islands. In each grid next to a freeport, 1-3 islands are lawless. The rest are normal....or...
    • More radical maybe? Huge islands are always lawless. These gigantic islands are the most useful for lawless living anyway, as there are lots of places to hide a small base and do some useful work. So every island above a certain point value is lawless and the rest are normal without regard for grid location. (this option would probably have to wait for "season 3" or launch, as it would screw people over, but I actually think it's the best way to go... large lawless islands, distributed all around the map...)

Rhino hits more wood than rocks....

    Posted: 06 Jun 2019 12:46 AM PDT

Is there a reason the Rhino (who's main purpose in taming is to collect rocks) tends to hit wood more often than rock? The elephant and giraffe aren't able to hit rocks so why is the rhino able to hit wood? Farming rocks would be a lot easier if I didn't hit fallen tree branches every other hit.

    Harvest Sound Setting, Please

    Posted: 05 Jun 2019 02:14 PM PDT

We need to get the Harvest Sound Setting on a different channel, including elephant and giraffe harvest howls.

I really don't think this would change the game outside of letting us play with the sound up loud enough to hear people speak.

    Tortugar spawn cycles

    Posted: 06 Jun 2019 05:54 AM PDT

I have spent 28 hrs over the last 4 days camping tortugar spawns on 3 of the new islands I've been noticing a spawn cycle something like the old fountain of youth rotation , like each island feels like it has a 30 min-1hr window of possible spawns , then a very long dry period.. am I overthinking this? Or are others getting that same impression?also I thought it was worth mentioning that 2 of the 3 I've tamed so far spawned in areas littered with foundation spam , so I'm not so sure they are being building blocked as alot are suggesting ingame

PvE player here - Looking for advice for leading my company in our first Power Stone Run!

    Posted: 05 Jun 2019 11:41 PM PDT

I would love if you guys could help me out and give tips and pointers. We're about to try our first-ever power stone run against an island we know has a Hydra. What should we bring? We have a few legendary and mythical crossbows and carbines, and are all around level 55 or so.
