So new features announced with the farmhouses and ships for gold, what are your thoughts? Its nice to see something brand new thats for sure, but I am curious to how the farmhouse will work exactly and also if ships for gold will be exploited.

    How do Peace Phases work?

    Posted: 14 Jul 2020 09:31 AM PDT

I went to an island during peace phase where I was met with cannon towers immediately shooting my boat. I went on the island and got one shot by some sort of cannon. During peace phase on the island with my base I was raided and killed but I couldn't hit back because damage was prevented?

How does this work I am new to Atlas

PvE treasure map soloing, in need of helpful suggestions /updated info

    Posted: 13 Jul 2020 08:52 PM PDT

First time posting on reddit so excuse any info i miss out throughout this post.

    Background info

I used to play a bit during season 3 but not enough to say i am experienced at the game. I quit because i didn't really have a group so it wasn't as exciting. However i have came back for season 4 and have a group to actually play with now.

Issue is, i tend to be the one hunting and doing the treasures maps.
After looking at some tips from early 2019 i tried out a twohanded mace on some common maps just to warm up and see how it all works. Easy enough of course.
One of my group joined me on a hunt and i thought heck, lets go try ourselves a blue map, enjoy ourselves a bit you know. Really push that boat out there.
Since i had read some tips on what to do earlier that day, we tried bringing the swivel on a bear, made us some grenades, tested fire arrows. All that good stuff to find that they are all pretty much immune to it all?

Since i can't find any information on any of this stuff thats actually season 4 and this year of 2020. Do people have any strats/ tips on what they do nowadays with treasure maps solo and what is the LIMIT that a solo player can manage with treasure maps before really needing the help of a group. Plus what higher difficulty maps can you handle with what ratio of people/bears.
I can get the help of the group but they aren't always on when i am on so it makes for stale progression on that front.

I know about good bears since they have always seemed to be the staple but is that the only way to manage maps now? Any information on it all would be appreciated, i really want to do these maps and give them a good go but well with the aftermath of our dead bear and us failing miserably due to everything apparently having no effect on the AoD, i'd like to know where i should start investing my time into what category of the game to really get the most out of my treasure hunting experience.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    TLDR.
Tried blue maps with old info, swivel, fire arrows and grenades. Nothing worked and the map failed miserably. What is the current way to do treasure maps efficiently. Solo or otherwise.
