We attacked ChemB, recorded hours of them aimbotting from many pov. We'll probably need days to post all clips of their aimbotting, let's start.

    Posted: 07 Feb 2019 09:27 AM PST

Before we even start, the guy from ChemB also has a YouTube channel with a video showing himself exploiting and explaining how it worked before it got patched in ARK, it's possible he is just using the same exploit in Atlas, since it's mostly the same coding. Aimbot+esp https://youtu.be/LTbzETVQV_g?t=215

Server was very laggy, they just needed a couple of guys with aimbot to kill 60+ players, some used low level accounts to aimbot, there is no counterplay to duped legendary weapons+aimbot. You get oneshotted, your animals get oneshotted.

Let's start with videos I guess:

Massive castle build - The Pinnacle Pirate City

    Posted: 07 Feb 2019 07:20 AM PST

Atlas needs to have a way for small groups to retain automy within groups.

    Posted: 07 Feb 2019 10:22 AM PST

My idea is to have crews, a small group of people that are part of a company as a unit, The crew's owner (i.e. Captain) decides which company they are part of and they along with Admins (lieuteants) determine who is in the crew and what access they have.

While the companies own the claimed land and as a result the builds in them, the crews own the ships and controls access. Lawless buildings are built/owned by crews and companies are not recongnized in lawless, just the crews.

Ships launched by the crew are owned by that crew, even though they may be launched on company shipyards (or unlocked shipyards)

When a crew leaves a company, the crews retain in ownership of the ships, the company keeps the land claims adn associated buildings though.

The company owner is also the leader of its owning crew. Which may or may not have the same name.

Thips would have the company and crew listed (only company if crew is nameless or has same name as company) on over name display Buildings would show only the company (or crew if in lawless)

While the crew is part of the company the owner/administators choose the level of access the members have to building inventories and doors via rank.
However ships access is controlled by the crew that owns it. If the other members of the company can access, sail or scuttle the ship is determined by crew's captain (or lieutenants)

When implemented, current companies would also become crews. they could form separate crews, by leaving company, forming company and re-joining company as a crew.

In summary Claimed land is realm of Companies. Ships and Lawless land is the realm of Crews.

THis way a small group of people, which seems the majority of players could join a large company, yet maintain thier autonomy and reputation (for good or bad).
They could maintain a base in lawless island and thier own ships.
Large companys sould be managed easier, because they can kick entire crews out of company, individual membership in crews would be control by the crew itself. Some crews would split off to form own companies of sometimes change companies as a unit, that way groups of freinds can continue to be together.

Leaving a crew would be a full loss, only keeping what you are carryinging. but you effectively become a crew of one, use a unlocked ship yard and you have yourself a ship. Captains can merge crews and all ships transfer with them.

Not sure were tames fit, I would lean to part of crew, since there are tames on lawless islands, but I am thinking they may be always owned by the tamer/claimer.

Anti-game behaviour and exploits are killing the game for us.

    Posted: 07 Feb 2019 06:39 AM PST

We are Seekers, we own 2 island on NA PVP B15.

Some days ago we started to fight against a company called "Blood Knights".

This company was situated on B15 and have somewhat 10 people online, we don't like to call someone hack without proof but this is exactly what we are doing right now. These guys have been playing for 4 days now, farmed a Galleon out of nowhere and keep attacking us with freeport (B15 is really close to C14 freeport).

In sum, they're using freeport as a safe zone, and keep repairing their Galleon there, we can't do shit about them and we will just give up our island at this point with all this grief and join a bigger alliance, there's no use to it tbh.

But the reason i came here was the yerterday's patch to fix the server crash and dupe problem. Many times while fighting us in B15 the server crashed, B15 never crashes boys, we hardly have 50 people online. I wasn't aware of this dupe exploit but they literally had so much to fight against us in a so called small space.

This guild is associated with Regalia, Pink Gays, RS Pirates, Gay Bang and etc...

This will drive 40 players out of your game Jat, you better be investigating and banning if that's true.

We can't stand people who don't respect the rules of the game.

Stuck on "Primal_Game_DataBP" and then "Invalid Json Token Line 1" Pops up, HELP!!!

    Posted: 07 Feb 2019 07:55 AM PST

So, yesterday my game randomly whenever I opened it would tab me out with the "Invalid Json Token Line 1" error message, my game would then stick on "Primal_Game_DataBP", I have waited up to 10mins for it to load nothing, the screen occasionally flashes white for a brief second, ive tried everything, from VPN, restarting game/steam/pc, restarting router, fully removing ATLAS from my computer and reinstalling, just simple uninstalling, everything, nothings worked, if someone has an answer that would be great, UPVOTE THIS SO THE DEVS SEE IT AS IT SEEMS LIKE QUITE A COMMON ISSUE!!

I would put a ss of the error message however my last post got removed for "promoting discord"

    Decrease Sharks - Increase Whales

    Posted: 07 Feb 2019 04:33 AM PST

Each time you dive down for Whales, or dive down to demolish ship wrecks, there is allways one obstacle awaiting you, sharks. You have to be in the ocean to find whales, whitch are mostly impossible to find, my clan spends hours hunting to find one just to die of sharks when we get to it. Ballistas ofcourse help with sharks but its so many.

Despite the hate, I really enjoy this game.

    Posted: 06 Feb 2019 11:51 PM PST

I've been playing sandbox games since 1999, starting with Ultima Online, and have played every MMO under the sun, as well as every survival game on Steam. It's been somewhere around a decade since I've found an MMO that I really enjoyed - the last being Darkfall.

Despite the hate, I really feel like Atlas is truly a gem of a game. I've had a tremendous amount of fun building, sailing, and sinking ships - Treasure hunting with friends is always a blast, especially when we don't forget to bring the accordions! I've had more memorable PVP battles at land and sea in the past weeks than I've had in the past few years, and every time I log in, I always feel like there's something new to experience or explore. I always felt like taming in Ark was too much of a chore, but really like that taming in Atlas is fast, and involves at least some degree of skill and planning.

I know this post sounds like useless nonsense from a fanboy, and I'm sure there will be plenty of folks immediately spamming negative responses to this - but I just wanted to take the time to share a different perspective for anyone who might be on the fence.

Yes, the game has bugs, frustrations, and imbalances. However, if you really enjoy survival games, sandbox games, or massively multiplayer PVP games - do yourself a favor, and give Atlas a shot. I can't promise that you won't regret it, but if you're anything like me, I can promise you'll be glad you took the chance.

    Why I left atlas.

    Posted: 07 Feb 2019 09:37 AM PST

So I started playing atlas the week when it came out and I fell in love with it even with the lag and bugs and offline servers.

It was everything I ever wanted from a pirate game (not the bugs and server issues). And I even got a few of my friends to play with me and we created a small 5 man company to sail the seas and hopefully settle on an island, however after a few days of grinding when we set sail, we discovered that basically every island was already claimed by another company and It was impossible to capture any land because we would be killed by a larger company with more players or a more advanced one.

So the only thing we could do was bring a bunch of rafts with beds to a lawless island and start building a ship there. With the help of another smaller German company (mostly with their protection from the Chinese players) we managed to build a schooner and set sail. We were hoping to find an unclaimed island in the colder regions but everything was claimed already and by the time we had explored every island in the south (every island was claimed and a lot of them were just claimed by big companies) with all the repairs we had to do after the encounters of countless damned and storms, the holidays had arrived and we had no place to build a base or even a bed except for our schooner and nowhere was safe to park our ship for the holidays. All we could do was park it near a seemingly abandoned island and hope for the best. But of course after just one day, someone had claimed it and all of our progress was lost. We had to start from nothing again.

That's when most of my friends left and the rest of us tried playing on a PvE server but the territory situation there was even worse.

I actually really like the game and would love to return but I don't see how I could have fun playing in pvp or pve anymore. With all the duplication bugs we've had and with Giant Companies having claimed large portions of the map. There is no way we can even hope to have our own little place.

I've heard some people hoping for a server wipe and letting only one or 2 territory flags placed per person and yes that would bring me back to the game because then at least one medium sized company couldn't claim 3 islands for themselves (Which is idiotic honestly. They don't even need that much space.) While small companies of a few friends can't even build a base anywhere except for a lawless region where we can't even respawn.

Overall I would love to return to the game and I am sure my friends would too if a new pvp server was made or the old ones got wiped with a claim flag restriction. I want a wipe not only because of the territories but also because of the many companies that abused bugs to duplicate thousands of high end materials no one can compete with.

    ;TLDR;

Me and my friends love the game but we won't come back to it if there isn't going to be some sort of a wipe of territories or full wipe and a claim flag restriction per person. Or at least a new server with a claim flag restriction.

How does it feel the game is improving to you?

    Posted: 07 Feb 2019 05:42 AM PST

Are you under the impression the game is getting good content updates and improvements and is being "finished" ready for a release?

Or are you thinking the updates are just reactionary fixes and changes with no long term plans on what the end result will be?

I'm just curious as to what the feeling is on how the game is developing since launch

I guess I found the dumbest way to delete a ship that lasted almost 200h.... farewell

    Posted: 07 Feb 2019 05:38 AM PST

I just write this here so that someone maybe doesn´t do the same mistake as I did. I upgraded my ship to a whaler and added 10 balista. got new crew and everything was fine. I parked it in my harbor and started farming some materials with my bear. Cause it was late I logged out on the ship together with my bear.

Next day I got online.. ship sunk.

What happend? With the additional crew I was at 14/14 crew member. Leaving my bear on the boat made it 15/14 and well guess what. 1 person more and your ship is gone over night.

I survived storms, about 100x stuck on beaches, SOTD, killed whales..

MAN! that feels so shitty losing it like that. What the hell guys, why does a ship sink if there is 1 more person on board. Make it not move or anything but don´t sink that thing. Do you know how many people will do the same mistake just not thinking all the time about the freaking crew limits?

So the ship sunk.. I tried to demolish the remainings and rebuild a new ship. Started loading the materials on my bear who was in the water. MY VERY FIRST TAMED BEAR EVER.. have this little baby since I started out playing. Was a lvl 28 bear which leveled up to 55. Moved all resources into the bear and then wanted to transfer them to my resource ship. "Move to ship xyz" and puff .. bear gone. Not inside the ship, not below the ground, not dead, just vanished. I looked for 1h around, gave up.. bear gone without any notice with most of the valuable resources from my ship.

That moment I wanted to smash my keyboard though my pc screen.

What a disgusting day of losing shit in ATLAS..

    Crew repairing the ship?

    Posted: 07 Feb 2019 06:44 AM PST

I'm not sure I understand exactly how crew maintenance of a ship is working. Official wiki doesn't go into too many details, so I'd definitely appreciate some clarification from anyone who's maybe done more testing.

When a ship is anchored by the shore, unassigned crew members will look like they're sweeping, and are actually repairing the ship. OK. I get that.

What are they, or are they not repairing? Do they only repair planks/gunports? Or are they maintaining things like walls/ceilings inside the ship as well?

Also, does it make a difference of how many crew members there are doing repairs? If I have one unassigned crew member on my brig is that enough to maintain everything? Including walls/ceilings? Is there any kind of range or anything, as in, do they repair the closest items first?

Notifications for weather but none for being attacked

    Posted: 07 Feb 2019 12:20 AM PST

This is something me and my company have laughed about for a while.

The game happily tells you there's a heatwave coming but if someone is destroying your property it tells you nothing. You have to dive into the company logs.

This is silly and needs updating.

Alarm bell structure similar to parasaur

    Posted: 06 Feb 2019 09:13 PM PST

pretty simple. alarm bell structure that can be placed on a ship or structure. when manned by an npc it will do pretty much exactly what the parasuar does in ark. can be configured and set to give off a large aoe alarm. NPC could be killed to disable. but it still gives a heads up for active counterplay to griefing.

    O14 team server EU PVP

    Posted: 07 Feb 2019 01:37 AM PST

    Hello,

Since the fountain patch, the server o14 is really laggy when someone put a foot on the island.

For exemple, I went alone yesterday to test the server because we want to do the powerstone. Everything is fine until I landed.

We were only 2 people on it and the server put the red gate blocking people to enter in the server.

Its maybe time to do something for this grid please ?

I can understand that you, dev people, have a lot to do (and you are a small team for a big project ) but if you could do something ...

Thanks and have a good day people
