Why do elevators not snap at both ends now?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2019 10:52 AM PDT

I can build an elevator by snapping it to the floor and building up but nothing will snap at the top.

I can build an elevator by snapping it to the ceiling and building down but it wont snap to any floor.

Why cant i connect from top to bottom?

    BattlEye issues?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2019 08:07 AM PDT

Me and another guy I was playing with randomly got kicked -- he didn't get a message but mine said "Client Not Responding -- Kicked by BattlEye". Unable to "Rejoin" afterwards.

Hoping this is fixable. The server was acting really weird for both of us before it happened (multiple hangups / disconnects, etc).

    Faction based system/ Perminant Rewards

    Posted: 28 Apr 2019 10:10 AM PDT

Just wanted to discuss some ideas and what people would think about these systems in a game like Atlas. Get ready for a wall of text

I would love to try out a faction based system in this game. Ive watched many people quit this game due to not being able to be their own small company and survive. The zergs just destroy small companys and alot of people perfer the more personal experance of a small company. Im not saying all but ied guess half of the orginal 20k players wanted to play a small company but quit due to survival being near impossible. A faction based system would allow players to remain a small company yet have deffinant allies who cant betray them. It would allow citys to be built more easily and offlining people would be more difficult. You would have islands owned by your faction that would be defended almost 24-7 from another faction. People would be less outnumbered by the larger companies.

Also i love the idea of permanent rewards. Like the permanent buffs you can get are amazing. I think there needs to be more of this. People lose a tame and quit the game all the time. Loss is harsh in a game like this and its not for alot of people. Worlds adrift has a tool belt that you store stuff in and you keep it upon death. I think someing along those lines would be great in this game. A cool idea would be soul binding yourself to a single mount that when it dies after say a 3 day timer you can respawn it at its starting lvl, limited to maby tier 2 mounts. This could be behind a quest wall but it would be worth it. People love their pets. Another idea would be maby having 1-2 slots on your hotbar that are kept when you die. This would intice people to go out and farm that 3000 mythos to make a 160 percent damage weapon. This might sound op but it would balance out over time as everyone farms good wepons. People need something to farm that they can keep in a mmo. Makes getting wiped an easier recovery and spending 100 hours to beed a mutated bear way more worth it. Honestly someone with 2000 hours in this game should no matter what be way stronger then a dude with 50 hours on a bear he took from his clans pen. This is a mmo and should be structred so, more hours invested you should have more advantages. While trying to keep it from being op.

    Just some ideas.

    Best Ship Captain

    Posted: 27 Apr 2019 04:54 PM PDT

This dude named Dillmar Legend fought my company who had 3 brigs and 1 gally and he was in a schooner. He sunk two of our brigs and almost got our gally but he stopped and said he was out of ballsand then sailed away….. This dude was impossible to hit. He sailed circles around us…. Does anyone know who this guy is? I want to ship PVP him again to see if it was just luck or if he really is the best captain in the game. Have any of you come into fought against him before?

How does weight effect ship speed exactly?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2019 05:04 AM PDT

Is it linear? Is it percent based?

Meaning if my ship can carry 20,000 weight but I only have 8,000 on board, am I faster than someone with 8,000 on board but only 16,000 max?

Does wind effect lighter ships more dramatically?

I need exact details and sources please.

    Change “Call Ladder” Keybind

    Posted: 27 Apr 2019 08:28 PM PDT

Please change the call ladder down keybind from "T" to "L" or allow us to change it in settings. I don't know how many times I've lost crew because they try to follow me or I just can't get the ladder to come down.

Giant crab - what can it do?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2019 01:38 AM PDT

Tried normal sources but info on the giant crab is very scarce online. Thinking of buying a crab but tbh have no idea what they can do, apart from carry large weights and that's not really an issue for us.

Can they take u down into the trenches or is that a submarine only thing? Are there any 'fun' uses in PVE apart from weight carrier?
