Posted: 13 May 2019 10:56 AM PDT I found an island in a sector that I frequent and NO ONE currently has it because of its outrageous upkeep cost of 500 gold every 12 hours... what I want to know are there other islands out there like that? and what makes it so expensive? There is absolutely nothing on it that makes it worth that much... at best it has a couple of oil nodes and honey nodes and the usual assortment of animals [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 May 2019 04:17 PM PDT Examples: The food system: when people would rather eat shit than keep vitamins up i think its broken Powerstones: Death running? Seriously? come on grapeshot you can do better Crew payment: why aren't mess hall and quarter master structures to feed and pay all npcs in a territory? micromanaging all this crap is just too time consuming these are just a few quick examples but i don't think i'm in the minority in saying the game feels too tedious and grindy. mechanics aren't fun or engaging they are just... painful. you have to just gut your way through a good part of the game. Edit: Thank you for the constructive discussion! What are some other examples of punishing game mechanics? How would you fix them? [link] [comments]
Is a Two Man Crew Able To Do The Power Stones? PVE EU Posted: 13 May 2019 11:54 AM PDT Me and My friend do not have a large crew and it is just the two of us. We are wondering if it is even possible to get the power stones by our self. It seems like it would be very difficult with out help. Can any one give me suggestions on how to start this journey. We are in PVE EU. [link] [comments]
1 hour of gameplay vs 12 hours Posted: 13 May 2019 11:43 AM PDT @mentallyillhippo so i said i had an idea for this and here it is: in the free-ports make a way to rent a 'slip.' make accessing the slip an instance so that it doesn't cluster up everyone's game in the free-port. i would suggest allow one ship per company/solo player. make it a reasonably high rent to force the renter out and about to gather gold to pay for it. i had the idea of a sliding scale for boat size. nothing concrete but for the sake of discussion how about 3k per sloop, 5k per schooner, 10k per brig and 20k for a galleon. not cheap, by any stretch but easy enough to earn. this allows a small company a safe harbor to park their ship or a big company someplace to park a 'flagship' type boat that is special. a counter argument i've heard was that big tribes would be griefed by small tribes and have no way to retaliate. (my good friend made it) and i get it. for a small group it would allow ONE ship that could be safely stored so you didn't have to play 12 hours a day to maintain land and enjoy the game. so what do u guys think? Edit: i messed up the embed thing. hopefully i linked hippo right [link] [comments]

Pve-Building rules causing griefing on PVE servers; Please let us block non-ally building! Posted: 12 May 2019 02:47 PM PDT There are enough islands that aren't settled on Pve. Now, owning an island is basically just glorified lawless. Some of us want to build nice RP towns, stop playing for 24 hours, and come back screwed because people have built monstrosities. In K7 on PVE, two islands are now LITTERED with huge thatch fences blocking people from doing maps. It's ruining the gameplay for a lot of us. Why did you listen to the people too lazy to pay for their own islands? What's the point of having one? If you want us to build towns, communities etc, give us the option to choose who settles.
