Idea for servers where islands are under raid. Posted: 18 May 2019 10:23 AM PDT So the idea is, instead of removing players when a server floods, have a circle start at the outer edges of the grid. Start enclosing towards each island (forcing ships and players in to fight, if anyone gets caught out of the circles they get ported out. This will force people to PvP or leave. Help reduce defenders being ported out, and aggressors will be forced to commit or be removed. Just to be clear these rings will close on every island so that inhabitants of every island aren't effected. [link] [comments]
Posted: 18 May 2019 12:43 AM PDT https://clips.twitch.tv/HungryModernPhonePeteZaroll So, earlier in the week, an ally of ours stumbled across something out of the ordinary. There were seemingly hundreds of tames that seemed to be stored on the freeport (E4 South) for safe keeping. While technically this is not as big an exploit as the guillotine bug I posted about a short while ago (more of a mechanic abusement). I don't think the developers thought people would go to these lengths to keep ALL of their tames safe from enemies. The culprits in question are another Chinese company called Pink Gays. The unclaim timer for tames in freeports should be drastically lower. I would say something like 6 hours, not 7 days. Either that or make it so the tames get hungrier at a significantly higher rate. People's ships decay super fast in freeports already. Why should tames have invulnerability here? Edit: I have submitted a ticket on the Atlas website already. [link] [comments]
This is what I posted in my guilds discord in response to the patch notes. Posted: 18 May 2019 12:50 AM PDT It took them 1 week to figure out a solution for all the guilds who abused the guillotine exploit and they still get to keep their levels at 100 and items with crafter bonus 60%. I guess thats a partial solution, but honestly still feels kinda shitty. We should have abused it too, we had like a day or two before they even removed the exploit. I think this is a lesson for next time, if an exploit gets known abuse the shit out of it cause grapeshot wont punish players. edit As it might not have been clear enough, the point about the post isnt the levels or the crafter bonus. This has made it clear that abusing exploits will not result in punishment, therefor it is allowed. What could/will happen is that grapeshot changes the game mechanic. Its good that we finally have a "ruling" on exploits so every guild out there knows the deal and can play accordingly. [link] [comments]

Intel Cap questions, will int above whats needed for 60% give a greater chance at rolling higher? Posted: 18 May 2019 05:55 AM PDT Our set is at around 1800 int, before the cap we could roll about 80% on a piece now with the cap being 60%, but we are higher then what is needed for that will we see the capped roll more often or is any int past like 1300-1400 pointless? [/script/shootergame.shootergamemode] RemoveItemsOverCraftingSkillBonus = 0.6 MaximumCraftingSkillBonus = 0.6 OldPlayerDataMaxXP = 2956920.0 The above config options can be used to to cap the crafting skill bonus, destroy any items over the crafting skill bonus, and reduce player max experience to value on load. Can a casual gamer play Atlas? Posted: 17 May 2019 06:15 PM PDT Ark was almost impossible to play as a casual player. So I ask this question with both PVE and PVP in mind. Are there even PVP and PVE servers in Atlas? Can I play either mode if I have an hour or two a night, a few times a week? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 17 May 2019 03:30 PM PDT thanks alot, Atlas. P.S. SotD are still lame and ruin the wonderful feeling of sailing. [link] [comments] |
