ATLAS Question for JAT and team

ATLAS Question for JAT and team

    Question for JAT and team

    Posted: 02 May 2019 04:22 AM PDT

Jat, PVE consideration, have you guys considered making ships un-claimable so folks could go into shipbuilding for a living?

My clan has a few folks who are damn good shipbuilders and could make some decent gold on them. It would add another good reason to sail somewhere to pick out your nice fancy new ride.

and of course some folks despise the grind of building a ship and would rather buy one, they would benefit also.

Keep up the good work. We are enjoying the hell out of the game.

How to gain some new players:

    Posted: 02 May 2019 03:40 AM PDT

Give the game a free week or at least a free weekend.. people read those negative reviews and are never going to buy the game otherwise. They must try it in order to buy it. You made a great patch but most people think the game is still trash. I remember ark had free weekends and that won a lot of players for it, atlas can do the same god damn it. WE NEED MORE PLAYERS

Nerfing Nature's touch Cooldown and Chaining heal would be an easy way to nerf Tames from being so strong in PVP

    Posted: 02 May 2019 12:03 PM PDT

So currently in the PVP ground meta, Nature's touch allows your tames to stay longer in a fight, tank dmg and just is an overral really good skill for tames, but i think it is just too strong if your animals can just heal for free at no cost, there needs to be a long cooldown and i mean really long cooldown between each heal to prevent this, also what players also do is chain Nature's touch one person puts nature's touch, dismount and another one jumps in and uses it.

    Player shop rework ideas

    Posted: 02 May 2019 12:55 AM PDT

Make the player shop visible on world map.

Make it work like the tax bank/flag with remote inventory so if the shop gets destroyed the items inside it don't just fall to the ground.

Let anyone use all gear, regardless of quality.

Allow companies to set buy orders for resources.

Allow ships to be unclaimed so they are actually tradable. Maybe add a magnifying glass to the game so people can inspect parts of the ship to see stats of cannons and sails.

All item sales are taxed 10% to destroy gold from game, upkeep is no longer required.

    Rhino Knock Back OP

    Posted: 01 May 2019 08:42 PM PDT

I believe the Rhino knock back is over powered. A elephant should not fly a long distance from a rhino attack. This makes it very difficult to fight them on mounts. The rhinos are able to knock any thing back very far especially any large tames.

    The ship combat meta

    Posted: 01 May 2019 08:30 PM PDT

What is the current ship combat meta? What ship configurations work, and which ones don't?

    • Handed ships (ships that have most cannons on one side)?
    • Defensive ships (using the new defense stat)
    • Armored Ships (using roof tiles)
    • Kiting ships
    • Offensive ships (using the new offense stat)
    • Large Cannons
    • Medium Cannons
    • Liquid Flame
    • Alpha ships (ships meant to drop enemy ships in a small number of volleys)

What tools have you found work, and how much ship based PVP have you done?

I've personally done some ship based PVP and I know that light fast boats with rear cannons work well, although they have damage application problems.

How does the vintage kraken skin work?

    Posted: 01 May 2019 08:23 PM PDT

The title pretty much explains it.. is this skin a single use or will I forever have it bound to my account. Just beat the kraken on NA pvp for the first time half a hour ago :)

    Obsidian location postwipe?

    Posted: 01 May 2019 01:46 PM PDT

There is a reddit thread about possible obsidian in o2 but that news is outdated. The grids on the wiki are also inaccurate.

Can someone confirm a 100% up-to-date source for obsidian? :/
