Who uses any of the new content (regularly)?

    Posted: 19 Jun 2019 07:02 PM PDT

Getting good use out of those camels on the daily? Is the harpoon gun or xbow an important part of your PvP kit? People do use ship harpoons but only because they are a grief machine -- they made PvP fights objectively worse. Turtles really dominating now? How about submarines? Still using that daily and having fun with it? Enjoying those yeti runs on the daily? (Or have you at least enjoyed it 4 or 5 times so far?)

Seems to me, everything I use on the daily is stuff that's been in the game since I started in January. Grappling hook change was nice, though, I'll give em that one. And the new island ownership mechanics saved the game (for a while) -- but this is "mechanics", not really "content".

But then there's power gap issues. Oh I have mythical cannons and you don't. I win! Now let's plink each other with carbines because we have huge HP and heal kits. You have a full time breeder and I don't. ohshitwelose.

Crabs, for all their OPness, even seem to have gone to the side because it's just easier to get other tames in large quantities through breeding. Crabs are good for a laugh (and to make people quit the game) but it's the old tames that are the workhorses, particularly when bred to high values (if anyone in your clan can still stand to do that).

I haven't done a shipwreck in weeks. Handy way to get a little cash but not interesting enough to warrant continuing to do them.

The "survival" aspect continues to be mundane. Vitamin reward is okay but generally people just eat poop to reset because why not.

Just seems the devs spend an awful lot of time implementing some utter nonsense that entertains people for all of a week or two -- and sometimes flat out makes the game less fun or makes people quit -- and population continues to dwindle while what we really need is some big mechanic overhauls. Enough with the vertical power progression and material grinds and dumb boss monster hunts. Where's the beef?

[PVE] Question: Claiming and Cargo Saddles

    Posted: 20 Jun 2019 11:01 AM PDT

I found an unclaimed bear in the open ocean with a cargo saddle. (Big surprise)

Is there a way to remove the cargo saddle? Even after claiming, it will not let you remove the cargo, or even allow it to get damaged from mobs.

Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

    H8 has no Islands

    Posted: 19 Jun 2019 11:52 PM PDT

Does anyone know why H8 is the only server with 0 islands on it?

Is there something hidden on the tile? Maybe deep underwater?
