| Remember when this was supposed to be a pirate game? Posted: 29 Dec 2019 11:17 AM PST Rage making this post after getting zerged by some kids on unofficial (in b4 get good) but remember when this game released? Remember the ship combat promised and the fun we could have as pirates? Now you can't even fight someone on the ground because it's just tame combat. High bred tigers bleeding and biting you, crabs jumping over defenses, draining shit, and then jumping away when they get low (because that belongs in a PIRATE GAME) and razortooths with their magical fucking roaring. I came back to this game because I remembered the good times I had fighting in boats but you can't even do that anymore unless you run the exact ship meta, otherwise you're sunk immediately. I hope this game becomes fun at some point, because right now it's an absolute disgrace to try and call this a pirate game, Grapeshot. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Devs Why is this still so headache inducing Posted: 29 Dec 2019 07:28 AM PST From the massive fps drops to the way everything rendering in the foreground clips through the screen to the giant notification and damage text to the massive lag this game still just gives me a damn headache. Did i mention the massive lag? Why after all these years does this game still run like my ram and cpu are choking to death? Its not my specs either this game just runs like dog turds and im suprised your xbox players arent up in arms about it. Heres an idea devs. Cancel all of your whimmy new content and focus purly on optimization. This game should run like butta 100% of the time if you are solo not drop to 15 fps just as ur trying to get ur crab on your boat or coz an elephant is stuck and clipped in your dock or for any other random reason. Optimise this game for 1440p resolution. right now its really bad. Second work on your forground clipping animations. Make everything fade out as it renders to your middle screen instead of this glitchy looking clipping we still see now. Assassins creed and other games do it well you can too. Third give me an option to change my text and dmg notifiication size. There is no reason, dispite my obscene astigmatism, that the text should be this large. Then my other option is just to turn it off. Ok guess ill die. Anyways hope you had a merry xmas and hope to see some changes by our next meeting Thanks. [link] [comments]  |
