Thinking about playing again :)

I spend my active playtime exclusively in pvp in a big company so i am very familiar with the problems the game had back then. My question: How is the performance in 100+ servers and how is the performance on capped servers by now? What about general performance on an empty server but let's say inside a 5k wall/ceiling base and a 5 galli/10 brig harbour?

I would love to jump in again but i am unsure, i would definitely only play in a big company again so the performance must be at least a bit better than it was a few months ago, so... how is it, any progress from the devs?

Also, are any wipes planned?

PVP Claim flag contest?

So, there seems to be a lot of unclarity and outdated information regarding claim flags on a PVP server.

Here's the situation - We found a nice island last night to claim when scouting, when we got there this morning it has been taken over by a small group. What's the options?

Do we need to wait 3 days before we can contest? Place a contesting claim on the island during combat phase or peace? When contesting, do we need to "evict the tennants" and keep them and randoms away for 10 hours?

Sorry for the multitude of questions!
