Couple of quick ideas to help fix Atlas

Realize I'm probably farting in to the wind with this, so gonna keep this short... Some of this might seem kind of extreme, but it would be healthy I think. this is all from a PvP perspective that would encourage more players to play and stick around. I write this as someone who has played solo / casual / lawless / small company to having also played with big establish companies.

    1. Eliminate crew. Yes I get the idea of having them, but they are the number 1 factor in shitty performance. Coming back to my abandoned base after the crew all deserted was like night and day, no lag at all... Just make the graphic of the cannon or whatever include the graphic of a crew and work automatically. Done. Do this until (or if) you can figure out how to use crew without killing performance.

    2. Resource distribution: The current type map layout is cool in my opinion, but if you really want to promote PvP, then arrange resources like this: Outer claimable islands can only contain 2 kinds of resource, another 2 can only be found on the inner lawless ring, everything else in golden age only. People would be heading to golden age to farm and it would promote a lot of action I think.

    3. On ships, cannons placeable in cannon ports only. Give sloops a slot for a single cannon.

    4. Scale down how effective blueprints are. seriously anything over 200 is just ridiculous. In my mind, the absolute best blueprints should go no higher than 150, with 120s being relatively easy to attain. Fucking ridiculous right now getting rolled up on by a high mythic brig and it being able to totally destroy a common fleet of any side.

    5. Rework sails and sail blueprints. It's so completely broken and imbalanced right now. By what logic should handling sails ever be faster than speed sails? It's silly.

    6. Built in ORP for at least 1 ship per company.

    7. Remove all tames except for like horses and farm animals. And I say this as someone who is addicted to taming and breeding in Ark... but that's just it, if I want to play with tames I'll go play Ark. This is an unnecessary time sink and distraction for a game like atlas. Buff hand farming accordingly.

    8. No fucking swivels on cargo carts. Dumb as hell. Make ground PvP be actual PvP not whatever the fuck the horse cart meta is.

    9. Obviously rebalance treasure map spawns to be winnable without tames.

    10. Gotta monetize somehow guys. RL cash for skins and resources would be a good move. Many of the most popular private ark servers work on a similar model. Also a small cash fee for instant travel between freeports would be great. Anything where you trade time for money would be great, and would not be totally "pay to win".

    11. Ship in a bottle / animal in a bottle / cryopods. Yeah guys it's time. It's cool seeing all the ships in harbor but performance. Would also give more casual players a fucking chance to save their boats when offline.

Ok that was longer than I thought, but I think if the game was changed like this it might actually breath some life in to it... cause in the current state, it wont be long before they shut down the servers anyway.
