In ark you could at least get some rare-ish mats now and then if you pulled up a decent sized fish. But here in ark-ocean, I mean atlas, the devs have made fishing boring as hell. No gold, no rare mats, not even fish oil most of the time. Just fish and sometimes scales.

Would it kill them to make fishing more entertaining as I slowly spend 4+ hours sailing grid to grid trying to get e Pugh gold to build a schooner that will get barrel bombed a day later?
