Storm frequency and severity needs to be toned down Posted: 28 Jan 2019 10:34 PM PST Currently every time it rains a storm of biblical protortions is immediately dropped on your head. They all seem to follow the same pattern: at first you can dodge the water spouts and near the end of the storm they're basically dropping on your front deck. It seems like you can't go on anything other than a micro cruise without going through this tedium. Please tone down the frequency of these things so that:

Posted: 29 Jan 2019 05:37 AM PST Make them cost a ton idc, they can be like ships where a plank takes up x amount of area on the building and you need x number house planks to complete the frame. Map App - Population + (Fountain Heatmap) Tracking Posted: 29 Jan 2019 09:28 AM PST Hey all, I spent the past few evenings getting population tracking working for the app I have been building. While this feature as a whole is nothing new to the community, I hope it will be a fairly useful feature to people who wish to use it in tandem with an interactive map. My main goal this past week has been to begin harvesting data to do more interesting features over time. As of right now, this has allowed me to begin outputting a population heat map layered into the grid. I am also collecting data regarding names of players, and am investigating what kinds of features could be useful with that data. I have plans for several new quality of life improvements the next few evenings, some of these being:
Here's a sample using the default layers: The current implementation normalizes the scale, by using the highest population server on a cluster as the max, and evaluates the layer transparency against that number. Additionally, I did a similar relative shading specifically for the fountain of youth layer options (basing the shading of the fountain of youth cells relative the highest population in a fountain cell). I believe this should offer a fairly reliable way to determine where the active fountain is for a given server, independent of building any sort of timer or server-day tracking. For those looking for fountain information, I would recommend configuring your layers like this: I believe the above shows that there is a fairly reliable prediction of the fountain being in D12. Lastly, another one of my short term goals is get a territory overlay. I have largely been avoiding doing this in lieu of an approach beyond simply scraping the official map's layering data. As far as I'm aware, there isn't an API to get this information from the public clusters as of yet, but if anyone has information regarding that, I would love to hear it. Thanks! Would it be possible to make AI ships spawn ? There's an admin command to spawn prebuilt ships already, but I'm not sure how this would be done automatically. [link] [comments] | ||

DarkBlade Army knocking their grid offline for rollbacks when we raided them Posted: 29 Jan 2019 07:35 AM PST Long story short we attacked their base and sunk a galleon, 8 brigs, and a few schrooners. When they started noticing they kept knocking their grid offline to try and do rollbacks. I am currently uploading the video. Also they admitted to doing it in the video with the excuse because we offline them This happened in N5 also a note there was only like 15 people on the server [link] [comments] | ||
Posted: 28 Jan 2019 10:38 PM PST So i have noticed quite a few tames sitting on server boundrys. Then over the last 24 hours i have had 2 tames fall off the back crossing over. A possible solition would be goving us a hitching post to tie them to witch would bind them to the ship like sitting npc's in chairs, on sail's or cannons. Allow NPCs to ride in the carriage Posted: 29 Jan 2019 05:27 AM PST My base is inland and transporting the AI is a pain in the ass because they get caught on every single rock and tree. I had an idea to transport them in a carriage but there was no way for me to get them to ride it when I tried. No option on the E wheel and the move to command just got them stuck under it. Posted: 29 Jan 2019 11:53 AM PST I was thinking that it would really be cool to have the ability to make man made rivers or allow for a type of foundation to fill with water. I think this would allow people to utilize the inner parts of islands more (could build rivers to allow boat access in the island more) instead of only building on the coasts. How is server switching? I can see that you can buy private servers and stuff, but do you keep your inventory and lvl and everything when switcing servers?
