    Bigger saps stacks

Can we get bigger stacks for saps? At least make them x100. Bolas should be stackable too.

Fix the claim system and wipe pvp servers. Naked claim flagging is miserable and pvp servers are dead.

    Posted: 22 Feb 2019 10:32 PM PST

For 2 weeks people have been bringing rafts to our island and using the really stupid bed glitch to drop 10 nakeds on our island at all hours of the day. They span flags and hide in foliage causing large swaths of our players to be unable to play the game.

This kind of gameplay is what this dumb claim flag system encourages and it's really dumb. You've done a good job recently of fixing a lot of gameplay problems. This one is the most glaring of all of them.

Atlas is on life support. NA PvP has 3 mega tribes as the majority of its population. It peaks at 2k players. You need to do something drastic.

You should overhaul this claim flag system. Make it cost something to put flags down and be defensible or something. Make it a commitment to have to try and claim someone's territory. After overhauling this you need to advertise a wipe of at least PvP servers. The only hope you have of bringing back population to pvp is by wiping these servers and making sure your claim system isn't awful.

    Suggestion: Inventory Log Withdrawl

    Posted: 23 Feb 2019 11:07 AM PST

Midsize and Large companies all face the same issue. Many people accessing different inventories and resources just go missing. For many, this is a great annoyance that really has no way to prevent, even with different company settings.

Suggestion would be simple. Each inventory box has a withdrawal. This could be as simple as last 100 withdrawals, or last 10 people resources they've removed. Something simple that when people get on, they can look at the log and see what was recently removed to prevent annoyance.

    Bookshelf First impressions

    Posted: 22 Feb 2019 11:24 PM PST

I was very excited to see the bookshelf coming into tonight's patch. Seems to have decent size storage for something like Fur Blue Prints and while you can sort a blue print by "boot" it would have been great if there was better map functionality. Sorting by regionID for example. Right now you can sort by "fine" or "journeyman" but not by region. Probably the easiest fix from a dev standpoint is a separate bookshelf that allows for regionID sorting. Just a suggestion on a possible quick update.

The problems of the upcoming MARCH content patch.

    Posted: 23 Feb 2019 11:51 AM PST

Hey guys 3 year ark Veteran and part of many mega tribes and companies in both ARK and ATLAS.

( IF you PLAY PVE OR UNOFFICIAL SERVERS THIS POST DOES NOT AFFECT YOU, IS TOWARDS PVP SERVERS ONLY )

Currently there are several problems and future problems with the current claiming system.

    - Spawn naked and spam claims ( all you need to do is go to location A OR B and place a claim flag , which is a dumb mechanic imo.

    - Why does a mega company own more than 12+ tiles , i could post a screenshot of my current mega company and others where one mega company owns " HALF THE MAP! " , and the problem is a lot of the tiles a mega company owns are empty with no one living there we just keep them to prevent our previous raided enemy from retaking ( forcing them to quit the game . )

How would i fix it? Prevent mega companies from being able to place a certain amount of lags, and prevent by passing such system through merging.

    - The core reality of survival games is that in order to survive you must wipe your enemy and prevent them from rebuilding, unless you change this core mechanic people will always find a way to wipe their enemies and force them to quit because that's how we win wars ( we do this in ark all the time ) , This is why a lot of people been asking for the docking system of EVE online, solo and small groups can live without the need of having a base, if they can upload their items and stuff on the cloud forever.

    - The UPKEEP system , i'm extremely skeptical of it and the reason why? is because i played ARK for 3 years and had to deal with this kind of balancing where all the devs did for certain stuff was balancing by changing the cost of something, every balance change which changed the cost of anything or balancing by placing a cost only affected the small groups and solo players, and benefited the mega tribes in that game, same can happen here, do you know how much gold and resources one single tile owned by a mega company owns? i can point out my particular tile from my mega company owns around 50k + OF EACH RESOURCE average so if you put balance by placing cost, who will be able to afford it? US and only us and the little guy will quit the game because of it.

How would i fix it? , Will this one i don't have an answer to , maybe do a mix of both upkeep with a hard cap on flags.

And this is probably why you should consider wiping the servers as well.

Ship sunk in freeport (NAPVE) in an hour, no damage to the ship I can see (under 300 dmg to planks). Is this intended?

    Posted: 23 Feb 2019 10:14 AM PST

All of the planks are still on the ship, but it's sunk. My only wonder is if the shell itself took damage.

Is there anyway to fix a corrupted redis database? I'm unable to connect to my server unless I delete the current redis database.

    Posted: 23 Feb 2019 07:42 AM PST

This happened the last two patch updates. The databse gets corrupted and I have to restart from scratch. Is there a way to fix the databse so I don't have to restart?

    Rejuvenated Buff Disappearing

    Posted: 22 Feb 2019 09:36 PM PST

Can we get a fix for this already? Every time I change grids my rejuvenated buff is removed and doesn't return until dying and respawning. Is this happening to everyone?

please increase the range for digging up treasures.

    Posted: 22 Feb 2019 04:33 PM PST

if the map locations that are underneath terrain aren't going to be easily fixed, allow us to dig up the treasure within the range at which the enemies can be spawned.

Dev Confirmation wanted: Is tame genetic inheritance random from both parents, or is it Dominate/Recessive?

    Posted: 22 Feb 2019 11:15 PM PST

I have noticed I am able to predict the stats of my breeds by "stabilizing" a genetic line to a certain trait. Obviously this wouldn't be possible if genes are random right?

Claim flag system needs a revamp

    Posted: 23 Feb 2019 02:43 AM PST

Let me just start off with , everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Opinions are neither right nor wrong.

As what the title says , i think the claim flag needs a revamp on a whole. Not just adding resource upkeep.

I use to play rust and have about 1.8k hours. I know its not a lot to some but its a substantial amount to know what im talking about.

I think the devs should use the tool cabinet concept . They can keep the flag design if they want.

Basically a tool cabinet is an item that allows construction and deconstruction in a certain radius around it. In rust , players build huge compounds around their main tool cabinets to protect it from raiders.

So , using the tool cabinet concept with a few changes , it will firstly reduce flag spamming as tribes will now have to build around their flags to protect them and if you chance upon a flag in the open , all they have to do is craft their own flag , destroy the enemies flag and place their own down.

Let me know your thoughts guys. Cheers!

Question about how Map Bottle spawns work

    Posted: 22 Feb 2019 12:45 PM PST

The Island I am built on has a few shores where bottles have spawned in the past. Since then, people built too close to those shores and no bottled have been seen in weeks. I've personally demolished all buildings near the shores but the bottles are yet to return. Does anyone know how many foundations away a structure blocks map spawn? Or how the spawns work in general? It seems some other islands have bottles spawn right up beside companies' gates without any issue.

    Thank you,
