Atlas Crew automated harvesting |
Posted: 30 Jan 2020 08:11 AM PST I just want to start by saying I absolutely love atlas, I'm a builder personally but typically I tend to play alone or with a small group. As such one feature I think would help this game thrive is crew automated harvesting. As it currently stands crew that you hire on help with combat situations, but I think they have so much more potential. Such as if you were to set up on an island bringing say 3 or so crew members back with you then building something like a claim flag that acts as a harvesting zone. You could then appoint a crew member to that flag. Then set the flag to harvest wood, equip the crew member with an axe and set a deposit chest or just have them put the resources in the crew silo or collection bank. I feel like this could help players focus more on other game mechanics without having to constantly worrying about harvesting. There could also be a risk associated with it since there are wild animals on the islands you should also probably give the crew member a weapon to defend themselves. And if you were going to set automated harvesters maybe they would have extra needs like a bed or shelter. Just an idea but I think it would be great to see. TLDR: A cool new feature would be allowing crew to harvest resources automatically. [link] [comments] |
