ATLAS Noob Question: VIOP

Hi,
new to the game,
playing on Xbox, and I am wondering is there a away to Voice Chat with other players?

I see lots of people 'chatting', but being on console, geesh its a pain in the but to even say , "Hello, don't kill me please'.

I was wondering how many cannons you could theoretically fit on a galleon and how many crew members it would take
